Agora Market

The Chania Municipal Market (Agora) is a monumental cruciform building from the early 20th century and one of the most recognizable symbols of the city. For a long time it served as the center of local trade in food and produce from western Crete, and in recent years it has been undergoing extensive renovation. As an architectural monument, it remains a significant example of urban construction from that era, situated at the very heart of the old town.
