A vibrant open-air market stretching along the Ljubljanica River, designed by the renowned Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik in the first half of the 20th century. Plečnik's arcades and neoclassical pavilions are considered a masterpiece of urban design. Beyond fruits, vegetables, and local produce, the market is also the perfect place to experience the everyday life of Ljubljana.
Free admission. The market operates Monday through Saturday, mainly in the morning hours — arriving between 8am and 12pm is recommended for the widest selection of fresh produce.
