Hohensalzburg Fortress

One of the largest and best-preserved medieval fortresses in Europe, built in 1077 on Festungsberg hill. It dominates the panorama of Salzburg and offers a spectacular view of the city and the surrounding Alps. Within the fortress there are museums, princely chambers, and old military equipment.
