Uçhisar Castle is the highest natural peak in Cappadocia and has served for centuries as a fortress and shelter. The interior is crisscrossed with tunnels, rooms, and passageways carved into the rock. From the top, there is a sweeping view of the valleys and the Erciyes volcano in the distance.
The ticket is purchased on-site. The ascent involves narrow stairs — footwear with rubber soles is recommended. Arriving an hour before sunset offers excellent light for photography.
