Veliki Slap

Veliki Slap, standing 78 meters tall, is the largest waterfall in Croatia and one of the most impressive natural attractions in the Balkans. It is formed by the Plitvica River, which plunges into the canyon below the Upper Lakes. It is visible from several observation platforms within the park. The largest waterfall is reached via a trail that also opens up a viewpoint directly above the waterfall itself, from where the entire cascade system comes into view.
