Forteca Viewpoint (Kaštel)

A Venetian fortress above Korčula offers views of the old town's red rooftops, the Pelješac Channel, and the surrounding islands. A short climb from the town center leads to one of the rare spots from which the entire historic core of Korčula and its position between the sea and Pelješac can be taken in. In the late afternoon, the light on the stone walls and channels changes from minute to minute, making the Forteca often the first place photographers seek out upon arriving in town.
