Military Cemetery at Kühbergl

During the First World War, Brunico served as a town of military hospitals, and when the municipal cemetery ran out of space, a cemetery for fallen and deceased soldiers was established on the wooded hill of Kühbergl. It was designed by an architect who was stationed in Brunico at the time, ensuring that the graves blend seamlessly among the larch trees. A section dedicated to those who perished in the Second World War was added later. The cemetery is a protected monument and a place of quiet, reached by a short walk from the castle.
