Natural pools formed in volcanic lava rocks on the northwestern tip of Madeira. Seawater naturally flows into the pools with each tide, creating one of the most unusual swimming spots on the island. Porto Moniz is known for its black volcanic rocks and the wild Atlantic coastline that surrounds it.
The ticket is very affordable and includes access to the natural volcanic pools. It is recommended to arrive in the morning to avoid crowds.
