An impressive 14th-century Moorish fortress situated on a hill above Málaga, connected to the Alcazaba by a rampart known as La Coracha. It was built during the Nasrid dynasty to protect the city and its port, and its name derives from a former lighthouse that once stood on this site. Today it is renowned for its spectacular panoramic views of Málaga, the port, the Mediterranean Sea, and the surrounding hills, making it one of the most popular spots for photography and watching the sunset.
Combined ticket with Alcazaba around 6 EUR. The fortress can be reached on foot (steep climb ~30 min) or by bus no. 35 from the center. Early morning is recommended for the views and mild temperatures.
