Parish Church of St Michael

The Parish Church of St Michael stands on the main square, just a few steps from the Collegiate Church, so the two are naturally visited together. Its origins are Romanesque, dating from the 12th century, and in the 18th century it was remodelled in the Baroque style: the bright interior with its rich stucco work and painted vaults makes a beautiful contrast to the austere Romanesque of the neighbouring Collegiate Church. The square in front of it is where you can feel the everyday life of this small town.
