A historic royal palace complex on Buda Hill, whose construction dates back to the 13th century, with its current appearance originating from the 18th century. It now houses the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum. The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A ticket is purchased separately for the National Gallery and the History Museum. The castle can be reached on foot, by funicular (around 5 EUR), or by bus. It is recommended to set aside half a day for the entire complex.
