One of the largest and oldest covered bazaars in the world, founded in 1461. With more than 4,000 shops and 60 streets, it attracts up to 400,000 visitors per day. It offers everything — from jewelry and carpets to spices and souvenirs — and the architecture itself is a historic spectacle.
Entry is free of charge. The bazaar is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Be careful with prices — bargaining is common and expected. Bring cash.
