One of the largest and most significant archaeological museums in the world, housing more than one million artifacts from across the former Ottoman Empire and beyond. The complex encompasses three separate buildings with finds from Mesopotamia, Egypt, Anatolia, and the Mediterranean. It also holds the Alexander Sarcophagus — a masterpiece of ancient sculpture.
The Museum Pass Istanbul covers entry. The complex includes three museums — allow at least 2 hours. Closed on Mondays. It is located in the immediate vicinity of Topkapi Palace, making it ideal to combine both in the same day.
