A Genoese tower dating from 1348, the 67-meter-tall structure dominates the skyline of the Galata district. From the platform at the top, visitors enjoy a panoramic 360° view of Istanbul, the Golden Horn, and the Bosphorus. It is one of the city's most recognizable symbols and an unmissable viewpoint.
Tickets are recommended to be purchased online in advance as long queues are common. An elevator goes up to the 9th floor, with the remainder reached by stairs. The most beautiful view is at sunset — arrive 30 minutes early. The Museum Pass does not cover entry.
