A Renaissance castle situated on a hill above Innsbruck, dating from the 16th century and once the residence of Archduke Ferdinand II of Habsburg. It houses one of the oldest museum collections in the world — a collection of armour, portraits and works of art. It is surrounded by a beautiful park with views over the Inn valley.
Ticket includes all collections within the castle. The castle can be reached by bus number 4130 from the city center or by taxi. The castle is closed in November — check opening hours before your visit. The park surrounding the castle is free of charge.
