The highest hill in Athens, with the Chapel of Saint George at its summit, reachable by funicular or a walking path through a pine forest. Lycabettus offers the most beautiful panoramic view of the city and the Acropolis, particularly spectacular at dusk.
The walking trail is free (45min). Funicular 10€ return. Best to come at sunset — view of the Acropolis in golden light.
