A monumental defensive wall system approximately 4.5 kilometers long and up to 20 meters high, built between the 9th and 19th centuries under Venetian rule. They are part of the UNESCO protected heritage and offer a unique walk with views over the bay and surrounding mountains. The wall routes lead from the sea gate to the top of the fortress of St. John.
Ulaznica za zidine obuhvata i pristup tvrđavi Svetog Jovana — praktično je kupiti jednu kartu za oba. Šetnja celim obimom zidina nije svuda moguća, ali deonice otvorene za turiste nude odlične vidikovce.
