A reconstruction of a prehistoric pile-dwelling (stilt) settlement on water, located in Gradište on the southeastern shore of Lake Ohrid. The museum depicts life from the Bronze and Iron Ages (around 1200–700 BC) through authentically reconstructed houses built on wooden stilts. A unique open-air museum in the region and part of the UNESCO list.
The museum is located about 8 km from the center of Ohrid, so transportation is required. Tickets include a visit to the reconstruction and a small museum. Organized tours from the city center are available and recommended.
