Gothic cathedral of St. Stanislaus and Václav on Wawel Hill, burial site of Polish kings and national heroes. Contains more than 20 chapels, including the golden Sigismund Chapel from the 16th century. One of the most sacred places in Poland.
Entry to the cathedral is free on Sundays during mass, but tickets are required for the crypt and bell tower. The ticket includes a visit to the tomb and chapels. The bell tower offers a beautiful view of Wawel and the Vistula.
