One of the largest medieval squares in Europe, built in 1257, the heart of Kraków's old town. The square is home to the famous Sukiennica (Cloth Hall), St. Mary's Basilica, and the Town Hall Tower. The square is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The square is free and accessible 24 hours. Entrance to the Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica is charged separately. It is most beautiful in the evening hours when it is illuminated.
