One of the oldest salt mines in the world, in operation since the 13th century, inscribed on the UNESCO list in 1978. Inside the mine are underground chapels carved in salt, lakes and sculptures. Located 15 km from the center of Kraków.
The tour is mandatory and lasts about 2.5 hours with a guide. It is advisable to purchase tickets online in advance as they sell out quickly, especially in summer. The temperature inside the mine is around 14°C throughout the year, so a light jacket is recommended.
