A Romanesque-Gothic cathedral from the 12th century, one of the oldest and most important churches in Portugal. Situated at the highest point of the old town, it dominates the skyline of Porto. The interior is adorned with an impressive cloister lined with 18th-century azulejo tiles.
Entrance to the cathedral itself is free, but the cloister and chapter house require a ticket. Tickets are purchased on-site. Arriving in the morning before group tours is recommended.
