The official London residence of British monarchs since 1837. It is renowned for the Changing of the Guard ceremony that takes place in front of the main gate. The interior of the State Rooms is open to tourists during the summer months.
The State Rooms are usually open to visitors from July to September. Entry to the Royal Park and viewing the exterior is free throughout the year. The Changing of the Guard is free and lasts around 45 minutes — check the schedule on the official website.
