Amalfi is a historic coastal town on the eponymous coastline, once one of the four great maritime republics of medieval Italy. Nestled between steep cliffs and the sea, it is known for the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, narrow streets, squares, and lemons from which the famous limoncello is produced. Thanks to its position in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, it is an excellent starting point for exploring nearby towns such as Ravello and Positano.

Everything you need for Amalfi in one place
An Arab-Norman-Gothic cathedral whose oldest parts date back to the 9th century dominates the main square of Amalfi. The facade with its distinctive arches and mosaics is one of the most recognizable on the Amalfi Coast. The crypt houses the relics of the apostle Saint Andrew.
A Romanesque cloister built in the late 13th century as a burial site for the Amalfi nobility. Intertwined white arches, a garden, and medieval details make it one of the most recognizable parts of the Cathedral of Saint Andrew complex. It is located directly adjacent to the cathedral and can be visited together with it.
Located in the old mill valley Valle dei Mulini, this museum preserves the tradition of handmade paper production that has existed in Amalfi since the 13th century. Visitors can see a functional wooden mill mechanism and a demonstration of paper-making using the traditional process.
Sailing along the Amalfi Coast offers views of steep cliffs, hidden caves, and villages that descend all the way to the sea.
