Herceg Novi

Herceg Novi, situated at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, is a city of fortresses, stone steps, and Mediterranean greenery. Its appearance was shaped by various historical periods, from the Middle Ages and Ottoman rule to Venetian and Austro-Hungarian influences, visible in its fortresses, squares, and old stone streets. The city is also known for its mimosa flowers, which have become one of its symbols. Herceg Novi is an excellent base for exploring the western part of the Bay of Kotor, the Luštica peninsula, and the surrounding sea coves.
