Igoumenitsa

Igoumenitsa is a port city in northwestern Greece and one of the main maritime hubs of Epirus. The port connects mainland Greece with Corfu and other Ionian destinations, as well as with the Italian coast. The city itself has developed along the bay, with a long promenade, cafes and tavernas by the sea, while the surrounding area features archaeological sites and several quieter beaches. Due to its location, it serves as a practical base for exploring the coast of Thesprotia, Syvota and Corfu.
