A six-day road trip through Epirus, one of the greenest and most mountainous regions of Greece, connecting the interior with the Ionian coast. The journey begins in Ioannina on the shores of Lake Pamvotis, with its Ottoman Kastro and the island in the middle of the lake, continues through the stone villages of Zagoria and the Vikos Gorge, then descends to the coast — to the port of Igoumenitsa, the turquoise coves of Syvota, and Venetian Parga beneath its fortress. The route ends in the south, in Preveza at the entrance to the Ambracian Gulf, alongside ancient Nikopolis. Ideal for a road trip from late spring through autumn.
