Everything you need for Syvota in one place
A small fishing harbor surrounded by wooded hills and green islands in a fjord. Motorboats and sailboats give the anchorage a Mediterranean character, and a walk along the shore passes local cafes and taverns right by the water.
Mourtemeno is a small green islet just off the shore of Syvota, best known for Bella Vraka beach and the shallow sea passage that allows visitors to reach it on foot. It is covered in Mediterranean vegetation, and its coastline hides small coves and calm stretches of water ideal for swimming and snorkeling. From certain parts of the islet, views open up toward Syvota, the surrounding islets, and the Ionian Sea.
A small Orthodox church dedicated to the patron saint of sailors, situated on a hill above the harbor. Built in the traditional Epirus style, it offers a fine view of the bay and surrounding islands, and a visit is particularly memorable during the morning services.
Local boats travel to the famous Blue Lagoon near Sivota — shallow turquoise waters between uninhabited islets, with excellent spots for swimming and snorkeling.
