Noto

Noto is a city in southeastern Sicily, almost entirely rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 1693. Thanks to its unique Baroque architecture crafted from golden limestone, the historic city center is today part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. A stroll along the main street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, takes you past the cathedral, palaces, and squares that make Noto one of the most significant Baroque cities in Italy. In May, the city hosts the Infiorata festival, when one of the main streets is transformed into a vast floral mosaic.
