St. Moritz is a mountain resort in the Upper Engadin valley, in the canton of Graubünden, on the shore of the lake of the same name. It is renowned for winter tourism, but has much to offer non-skiers as well: ice skating on the frozen lake when it is open, the Leaning Tower, the Segantini Museum and the Engadin Museum, walks through snow-covered forests, and the world's only natural ice bobsleigh run. The Rhaetian Railway connects it to Chur via the Albula line, and to Alp Grüm and the Poschiavo valley via the Bernina line; both routes are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Cable cars and gondolas lead to the viewpoints of Muottas Muragl, Corviglia and Piz Nair.

Everything you need for St. Moritz in one place
The Leaning Tower (Schiefer Turm) is all that remains of the Church of St Mauritius, which was demolished in 1893. The tower dates from approximately the 12th century, stands 33 metres tall, and leans at an angle of 5.5 degrees. Today it is one of the most recognisable sights in St Moritz and can be viewed from the outside at any time of year.
Lake St. Moritz (Lej da San Murezzan) lies just below the village and is one of the symbols of the Engadin. In winter it freezes over, and when conditions allow, a natural public ice rink with a circular track is set up on the ice, suitable for all ages. The rink is unsupervised, so skaters venture onto the ice only on designated, officially opened sections, at their own risk. The frozen lake also hosts the famous horse races and snow polo.
The Engadine Museum (Museum Engiadinais) is housed in a building dating from 1906, designed specifically for this collection by architect Nikolaus Hartmann in the style of a traditional Engadine house; the building was renovated in 2016. Across 21 exhibition rooms, visitors can explore historical interiors spanning five centuries, including panelled rooms from the Engadine and neighbouring areas, a ceremonial hall from the Valtellina, a large kitchen, and a bedroom. The permanent exhibition also covers the Romansh language and everyday life in the valley. The museum operates seasonally, with the winter season beginning in December.
The funicular from Punt Muragl near Samedan travels to Muotas Muragl (Muottas Muragl) in around 10 minutes, covering an elevation gain of approximately 700 metres; it was built in…

Engadine walnut cake is a shortcrust pastry filled with walnuts in caramel, originating from the Engadine region; the earliest versions are attributed to the 18th century. Walnuts do not grow in the Engadine due to its harsh winters, so they had to be brought in from elsewhere, and the recipe was perfected by confectioners' families from Graubünden who worked abroad. Today it is considered a symbol of the canton of Graubünden.
