Siena

Siena is a historic city in the heart of Tuscany, known for its well-preserved medieval center and the Piazza del Campo, one of the most recognizable squares in Italy. During the Middle Ages it was an important rival to Florence, which is still visible today in the city's architecture, art, and urban layout. Siena is also famous for the Palio, a traditional competition between the city's districts held twice a year.
