Everything you need for Sorrento in one place
The main square of Sorrento, named after the poet Torquato Tasso who was born here. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and historic buildings, it serves as the starting point for exploring the city and one of the main gathering places for the local population.
A Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to Saints Philip and James, whose foundations date back to the 11th century, while the facade was renovated in the early 20th century. The interior is renowned for its rich wood inlay work, a traditional craft for which Sorrento has been recognized for centuries.
A museum housed in an 18th-century villa, preserving a collection of local antiquities, Neapolitan porcelain, baroque furniture, and works by painters of the Neapolitan school. The garden offers a view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, one of the most beautiful in Sorrento.
The ferry from Sorrento to Capri is one of the fastest connections to the island.
