Everything you need for Taormina in one place
A Greek theater dating from the 3rd century BC, later expanded during the Roman period, it is one of the best-preserved ancient theaters in Sicily. It seats approximately 5,400 spectators and is built into the slope of Monte Tauro, with views of Etna and the Ionian Sea. It is still used today for concerts and cultural events during the summer.
The main pedestrian street of Taormina's historic center, connecting Porta Messina and Porta Catania. Along it stand churches, palaces, the square Piazza IX Aprile, and numerous local shops. The street follows the main road of the ancient city, making it the backbone of life in the historic center to this day.
