Gaislachkogl Summit — BIG3 Viewing Platform and ice Q

The summit above Sölden, at over 3,000 metres, is reached from the village itself by the two-stage Gaislachkogl gondola in around half an hour. At the top stands the BIG3 viewing platform at 3,058 metres — the only one of Sölden's three 'three-thousanders' that hikers can reach in winter without skis. Next to the upper station is ice Q, a glass-cube restaurant at 3,048 metres, also known as the filming location for the James Bond film 'Spectre'. The gondola operates in both summer and winter seasons, but is closed from early October to mid-November, during which time the summit is inaccessible.
