The museum preserves findings from archaeological sites across the Pieria region, including artifacts from prehistory, ancient Macedonia, and the Roman period. The collection encompasses sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, weapons, and coins that bear witness to the rich history of this part of northern Greece. It represents an excellent place to get acquainted with the cultural heritage at the foot of Mount Olympus.
The largest green area in the center of Katerini, popular among locals for walking, relaxation, and family gatherings. The park features well-maintained paths, tree-lined alleys, and children's playgrounds, and throughout the year it frequently hosts smaller cultural and city events.
