Everything you need for Corfu Town in one place
A Byzantine fortress expanded by the Venetians in the 15th and 16th centuries, located on a cape between two harbors. Within its walls are the Church of Saint George, museum exhibitions, and viewpoints overlooking the sea and the city.
A 16th-century Venetian fortress dominates the northwestern part of the city and offers views of the harbor and the old town. At the top stands the Lion of Saint Mark, the symbol of the Venetian Republic.
Spianada is one of the largest squares in Greece, once a Venetian esplanade, and today a park and the only place in Greece where cricket is played — a legacy of the British protectorate of the 19th century. Along the square stretches the arcaded row of cafes known as Liston, built in the style of the Rue de Rivoli in Paris. This is where the evening life of Corfu unfolds.
Paxos island is known for its peaceful coves, olive groves, and the port of Gaios.
