Everything you need for Nafplio in one place
A Venetian fortress from 1714, situated at 216 meters above sea level overlooking Nafplio. The famous 999 steps lead to the top, though it can also be reached by car. From the ramparts, there is a spectacular view of the Argolic Gulf, the old town, and the surrounding Peloponnese.
The oldest fortress of Nafplio, built on a hill above the old town across multiple periods — from antiquity to the Ottoman era. Within its walls today stand a hotel and a promenade overlooking the bay.
The central square of old Nafplio, surrounded by neoclassical buildings from the period when the city was the first capital of modern Greece (1828–1834). The square is home to the Nafplio Archaeological Museum and the former Venetian loggia.
