Everything you need for Rhodes in one place
One of the best-preserved medieval towns in the world, under UNESCO protection since 1988. Surrounded by massive 14th-century walls built by the Knights of Saint John, it conceals narrow stone streets, mosques, palaces, and churches. Entry into the quarter itself is free, but many attractions within it charge an admission fee.
An imposing Gothic fortress-palace built in the 14th century as the seat of the Knights of St. John, today a museum with a rich collection of mosaics, furniture, and ancient exhibits. It dominates the top of the old town and is one of the most impressive medieval buildings in Greece. The mosaics brought here from the island of Kos are a particular attraction.
One of the best-preserved Gothic streets in Europe, dating from the 14th-15th century, it led directly to the Palace of the Grand Master. Along the street are lined the 'inns' — residences of knights of various nations (France, England, Spain, etc.). Free to visit, it offers an authentic experience of medieval architecture.
