Ronda is a historic city in the interior of Andalusia, situated on a rocky plateau above the El Tajo gorge that divides the city into two parts. Its iconic symbol is the Puente Nuevo, an 18th-century bridge connecting the old and new parts of the city. Ronda is known for its well-preserved historic core, Moorish heritage, and the Plaza de Toros arena, one of the oldest surviving bullfighting rings in Spain. Due to its location and views of the surrounding mountain landscape, it is frequently included in routes through the interior of Andalusia.
