Subotica

Subotica is a city in northern Serbia and the administrative center of the North Bačka District, recognized for its Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture from the early 20th century. In the immediate city center are the City Hall, Raichle Palace, and Subotica Synagogue, alongside older Baroque and Classicist buildings such as the Cathedral of Saint Teresa of Ávila and the National Theatre. The Korzo pedestrian zone connects the main points of the city core, while museums and cultural institutions present the history and multiethnic heritage of northern Bačka. Palić and Ludaš lakes, as well as other locations in the surroundings, complement a city stay with excursions into nature and the flat Pannonian landscape.
