Albania

Albania is a country in southeastern Europe, situated between the Adriatic and Ionian seas. In recent years it has become one of the most fascinating destinations in the Balkans, thanks to a combination of mountain landscapes, a Mediterranean coastline, and historic cities protected by UNESCO. Along the Albanian Riviera, bays, beaches, and small coastal towns follow one after another, while the interior is home to stone cities, Ottoman settlements, and traces of ancient civilizations. Despite rapid tourism development, many parts of Albania still retain an authentic character and a slower pace of life that is increasingly hard to find in the Mediterranean.
